Hi, I'm Cami — welcome to The Styled Hanger. If you've landed here from a 5-minute hairstyle tutorial, a nail idea you screenshotted at 11pm, or an outfit formula you actually want to copy, I'm glad you stayed. This site started as a way to share the kind of styling advice I used to give in Nordstrom fitting rooms, minus the price tag and the appointment.

How This Whole Thing Started

I'm Camille Rhodes — Cami to literally everyone — and I spent seven years at Nordstrom, first on the sales floor, then as a visual merchandiser, and eventually as a personal stylist dressing real women for real occasions: first dates, job interviews, weddings, Tuesdays that just needed a win. Over 500 fitting room sessions taught me something no fashion magazine ever did — that great style has almost nothing to do with a bigger budget and almost everything to do with knowing your own shape, your own life, and a handful of tricks that actually work.

Before Nordstrom, though, there was my mom. She raised three girls in Charlotte, North Carolina, mostly on her own, working two jobs, and still walked into every room looking polished. Her wardrobe was thrifted blazers and one good lipstick. Mine, growing up, was clearance racks, my big sister's hand-me-downs, and a sewing machine I used to hem, crop, and rescue almost everything I owned. I didn't call it an education back then. It was one.

Everything published here has been tried, worn, timed with a kitchen timer, or photographed in my actual apartment in Atlanta — clothing rack where the dining table used to be, dachshund named Pretzel usually in the shot somewhere.

Inspiring is easy. Practical is harder. I try to do both at once. Every post aims to answer the real question behind the search: not just „what's trending“ but „will this actually work for me, this week, with what I have.“ That's why you'll see step-by-step styling breakdowns instead of vague style tips, and specific product mentions instead of generic advice.

I also believe readers deserve to know how a site makes its choices and its money. Who's Actually Behind the Screen

Just me, mostly. The Styled Hanger is a one-woman operation — I write, style, photograph, and edit everything myself, which is also why the voice on this site never changes from post to post. When I mention a brand, a stylist trick, or a five-minute hack, it's coming from someone who spent seven years watching real bodies in real dressing room mirrors, not a trend report.
